ReCover Correct & Conceal Red is not an under-eye concealer. It is formulated specifically to cover facial redness. The yellow-based pigmentation of the product effectively counteracts any redness in the skin but will not neutralise the shades generally found in the under-eye area, such as greys, blues and purples. Although it is perfectly safe to use around the eyes, the skin around your eyes is much more delicate and sensitive than the skin on the rest of your face. As a result you may find that it does not sit as well in the eye area as elsewhere and we do not recommend that you use it as such. However, we are already working hard on our next line of products, which will be concealers specifically for the under-eye area. Watch this space.
Please see the answer above - ReCover Correct & Conceal Red is not an under-eye concealer. Subject to the above, ReCover Correct & Conceal Red is safe to use in the eye area. Be careful not to transfer the product into your eyes. If this occurs, rinse well with warm water. As with all cosmetics, we recommend a patch test on the inside of your wrist if you are trying a new product, before using it on the eye or face area.
ReCover Correct & Conceal Red uses yellow-based pigments to counteract the shades contained in facial redness. This innovative approach means that you shouldn’t be looking to match your skin tone exactly, rather to use your skin tone as an indicator.
ReCover Correct & Conceal Red should be used on a clean moisturised face, directly over the red area. Allow to set, then apply foundation and powder as you wish. The super fine layer technology allows you to use a very small amount, so if you want to touch up the area during the day, over your foundation, you can do this without looking cakey or overly makeup.
ReCover Correct & Conceal Red is suitable for all skin types and redness. As with all cosmetics, we do not recommend that you use ReCover Correct & Conceal Redness on broken skin.
Of course this depends on the area you wish to conceal, but we find that half a pump of ReCover Correct & Conceal Red is often enough, as a little goes a long way.
Using your fingertips helps ReCover Correct & Conceal Red to warm to the skin and cover redness. Simply pat the product where you need to conceal any redness. If you prefer to use a brush, choose a brush size according to the area you wish to cover. For small precise application choose a small soft concealer brush to apply the product exactly where you need it, blending outwards for a seamless finish. For a larger area, for example all over your cheeks, you may wish to use a soft kabuki brush to buff on-to your skin for a smooth finish.
The product is packed in an airless pump, with a 23kt gold-plated nib, because we feel that this is the most hygienic and convenient packaging currently available on the market. It ensures no contamination or oxidisation of the product. If you’d like to clean the nib, simply wipe the applicator with a clean tissue.
