So you’ve just arrived on your much longed for summer holiday and it’s your first day out in the sunshine. Maybe you’ve been invited to a beach party already, and feel you need to cheat a little bit of sun kissed confidence. Follow these simple steps below for a soft and beautiful beach party look…

Step 1: Apply moisturiser to cleansed skin and allow to settle for a few minutes.

Step 2: Use an SPF to protect your skin, Ultra Sun is one that works well. If traditional suncream makes you breakout, try using a facial SPF from a skincare brand you trust. Make sure it’s a sunshield rather than a facial moisturiser with SPF.

Step 3: Apply a tiny dab of ReCover Correct & Conceal Red to even out skin tone and disguise any imperfections.

Step 4: Add a little cream blush to the apples of your cheeks; coral shades work really well in the Summer sunshine. Kevin Aucoin’s The Creamy Glow in Tansoleil is perfect on lots of skintones.

Step 5: Using a large bronzer brush, dust a soft, fine bronzer where the sun would usually catch your face: forehead, cheekbones, top of the nose and chin. Step 6: Add definition to your eyebrows with soft feathery strokes of brow powder on a slanted brush. Emphasising eyebrows rather than adding lots of mascara creates a soft and fresh look. You may also like to try lash extensions for a holiday, as you will still be able to swim and won’t need mascara.

Step 7: For lips remember UV protection is also important. Try using Becca Beach Tint, then to create the illusion of a lip gloss but with the protection you need in the sunshine, add a layer of By Terry Baume de Rose which has an SPF 15 and gives a lovely glossy finish.
