Should I choose a yellow or green concealer?
Should I choose a yellow or green concealer?

Why yellow-toned concealer has taken over from green to cover facial redness…

Green concealer and base products came about because green is opposite to red on the colour wheel, and therefore cuts through redness. However, as human beings we don’t have a lot of green tones in our skin. This fact can mean that if you use a green concealer you will end up looking ashen and grey. These are very tricky products to apply, and achieving a natural looking result is difficult.

Research and practice has taught us that yellow-toned concealers are actually much better at correcting facial redness without losing the natural colour tone in the skin. This knowledge, plus the fact that cosmetic formulation technology has moved on hugely in the past 5 years, has allowed us to create ReCover, starting with Correct & Conceal Red. It is yellow-toned and sorts out redness with a tiny amount because it is jam-packed with pigments, but in a super fine layer.

This light and easy-to-use texture is hugely important to us, as we have seen years of concealment products on the market that have a heavy, dense texture and are difficult to blend.
